First Week - If you are interested in this class, please submit your problem or what you would like to work on to Liz Drexler, click to send mail by Wednesday, January 23rd. I will put together a list of the problems and e-mail this information back to all of the participants. EVERYONE who is taking this class is welcome to work on any of the problems submitted. For instance, if a handler submits that they are having a problem with the Stand for Exam Exercise, everyone can participate in the discussion and training of this exercise even if this is not the problem you have submitted.

If you have a CD title or U-CD title but you have some problems with any of the novice exercises and would like to participate, that would be fine, too.

I need a minimum of 4 people to take the class and would like to keep the maximum to 8 but would consider taking more.

You will not be working with your dog the entire time. Bring a crate for your dog and a chair for you. I do want everyone taking this class to be involved in the discussion and problem solving for everyone. I want this to be an interactive class.

NOTE: If you dog has been introduced to heeling, stand for exam and a recall and you have never shown in competition obedience, this class is for you. You do not need to feel like you and/or your dog is perfect! If you were PERFECT, you wouldn't need this class anyway! I'm certainly wanting people to take this class who have never done completion obedience before but have an interest. You will never know unless you try!

Week Two, Three and Four- If you are interested in these classes, please submit your problem or what you would like to work on to Liz Drexler, click to send mail the Wednesday before each class. I will put together a list of problems we are going to work on in the class and e-mail them back to the group. EVERYONE who is taking this class is welcome to work on any of the problems even if it is not the problem you have submitted. If you have a CDX, U-CDX, UD, or U-UD title, you are welcome to take this class if you have a problem you want some help with and are willing to work in this type of class situation. This is not a class for people who just want to come and train their dog around some distractions but don't want to participate in the class.

Your dog will not be working the entire time of this class. You are more than welcome make comments and suggestions to handlers who are working through problems with their dog(s). I want this to be an interactive class where everyone is participating in the problem solving and discussion. Be sure and bring a crate for your dog and a chair for you.

If you want me to come up with some "problem solving" situations for your dog(s), I will be glad to do that, too.

I would need a minimum of 4 people to have the class and would like to keep the maximum to 8 but would consider more if that would happen.

Prerequisites:

  • First Class - for dogs who are getting ready to compete at the novice level. Dogs must have been introduced to all exercises in AKC and/or UKC novice completion class. Handlers can be "A" or "B" handlers.
